A Whistleblowing Policy template was published today in the technical documentation section.
The WhistleblowingIT project has the objective of providing public and private organisations with the best possible support for the implementation and management of an adequate whistleblowing system. For this reason, over the years we have prepared a series of documents to facilitate the work of organisations in preparing their procedures, in particular regarding privacy and data protection.
The new document published today for all users, and in particular for public organisations that have adopted the WB-PA solution, is intended to guide recipients in drafting the most complete and effective procedure.
The template, which as such will have to be adapted to the reality of the organisation, covers all the most important aspects of a reporting management system, from the subjects that can report and the object, to the subjects who receive the report, the channels and the timing for management. Finally, a good procedure must adequately deal with the confidentiality and anonymity of the whistleblower and their data protection. Protections provided by law should also be included, as well as the sanctions in case of violations or failure to comply with the legislation and the external channels for reporting if the conditions for an internal report within the organisation are not met.

The document was created as part of the Speak Up Europe project financed by the Internal Security Fund of the European Union.
